Personal Trainer and Bootcamp Intstructor
I have always held a strong interest in health and fitness facilities in St. Louis. However my interest in health and fitness only itensfied after I gave birth to my daughter. After leaving the hospital, I had gained over 75 pounds, developed high blood pressure and increased asthma. After going throgh a brief period of depression, I made the decision that I could take the steps that were clearly necessary in order to improve my health.
In April of 2007, I started training with Briant K. Mitchell from BKM Fitness Boot Camp. Due to my increase of nutritional education, intense workouts, motivation and support, I went from a size 16 to a size 6 in six months! Because of the combination of cardio and strength training I also increased my strenth and endurance, and found myself enjoying each and every workout.
I have currently gone on to pursue certifications in spinning and personal training. I hold a Bachelor of Psycology/Sociology from Maryville University. I have worked in the field of social service for over twelve years, working with populations of all kinds that include; the homeless, those with addictions and the mentally ill. While training clients with Power of the Mind, Body & Spirit, I teach Spinning and Boot Camp classes as well as provide one-on-one personal training sessions. I pride myself on providing challenging, fun and unique workouts that take people's bodies to places they thought they thought they could never go. The combination of this training and encouragement through social and psycological experience is what I use to help my clients reach their most seemingly, intangible goals.
